men’s circle
Men’s circles are as old as mankind.
Our ancestors came together in circles to share stories, ask for advice, to support each other and to celebrate life. These spaces helped initiate boys into manhood, and allowed men to build trust in themselves and each other.
It represented an opportunity to learn from other men, to see our experiences as universal, with our brothers acting as mirrors. It was a natural way of building vibrant and healthy community.
And it is time to gather like this once again.
In a post-pandemic, lone-wolf glorifying world, we need our brothers more than ever. In reality, the lone wolf will eventually starve to death.
And we are no different.
We are strongest when we are a pack.
We are not meant to carry this weight alone.
Our men’s circle is a safe space created for men to reconnect to themselves, to their emotions, to their bodies, to their soul, and to their brothers.
Every man has his own reason to participate. What unites us in the circle, is our commonness. In a way, we all face the same challenges and experience very similar feelings, but in our own unique way.
Our men’s work draws from many different cultural practices and healing modalities and may include any of the following:
Movement Medicine (Somatic Work)
Yoga (Yin, Kundalini, etc.)
Breathwork
Various Indigenous Practices (Chanting, Haka, Hula, etc.)
Partner Work
Sacred Combat
Emotional Embodiment
and much more!
This space welcomes all who identify as male, trans men, and non-binary men, with the understanding that this space is held through the male lens.
Please check out our welcome statement on gender identity here.
