Mentors
showing up for ourselves and our keiki
Are you interested in becoming a positive male role model for young men?
It doesn't mean you have to be perfect, or teach them, or have it all figured out.
Quite the opposite.
When you share your inner experiences with young men, your thoughts, feelings, struggles and stories that made you who you are today, and what you went through as a youth in your own life, it imparts more than you could ever teach.
The PONO mentorship program offers in-person opportunities for you to learn, train and show up for youth in our community.
what does a mentor do?
All of our mentors go through our mentorship training program.
We provide programs, support and training for men with the inspiration to become a Volunteer Mentor, or even a Lead Mentor in our programs.
At the sanctuary, we are here to support and celebrate the transition from boyhood to manhood. A healthy manhood that gives back to the village more than it takes.
Our goal is also to make giving back to these young men as meaningful and as simple as possible for you.
As men working hard to make ourselves and the world better, giving back can be a crucial part of that cycle.
